1. What kind of church is this?
Levittown Christian Church is a non-denominational Christian church uniting people from diverse backgrounds (Catholics, Protestants, the spiritually curious but skeptical, atheists, etc.) into a loving church family. Levittown Christian Church is a place designed to serve both Christians and those who consider themselves spiritual inquirers.
It's a safe place for people who are looking for answers to their spiritual questions. It's also a place where those who have decided to follow Jesus Christ can find Christian fellowship learn and be encouraged in their spiritual growth.
2. What will the service be like?
Levittown Christian Church might be a little different from what you're used to in a church service. The sermons are practical and aimed at real life issues. The music blends the ancient and the modern. Communion is open to all Christians, no matter what your background, attendance, or membership. We wish to communicate the timeless truths of scripture in a way that is meaningful to spiritual beginners and seasoned followers alike.
3. What about my kids - do they come in with me, or is there something going on for them?
Kid’s Own Worship runs parallel to the adult worship service. Our Youth staff considers this time extremely precious. We want a child's early experiences at church to be happy ones. There is also a nursery available for babies and toddlers who are in diapers.
4. What should I wear?
We believe what is inside is more important than what is outside. You're free to wear whatever clothes make you feel most comfortable.
5. How long will the service last?
Services last about one hour
6. Will I have to say anything, sign anything, give anything, or be singled out in any way?
Rest assured that you won't be put on the spot, singled-out, or embarrassed. Though we do pass an offering, we don't want anyone to feel obligated to give. We do like to collect some basic information from people but if you'd prefer not to share, we will respect your privacy.
7. Is this a Christian church, or something else?
Though non-traditional in style, LCC is deeply committed to restoring the eternal truths of the Christian faith. We follow the beliefs and practices of the church as established in the New Testament. Our mission is helping people develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ.
8. What if I have questions about the church or God?
LCC is a place where you will never have to "check your brain at the door.” You’ll feel comfortable bringing your brain and your questions. We have small groups where discussion is encouraged and Matt’s door is always open. He is always happy to discuss questions about God, faith, the church and the world.
9. What time is the service, and how do I get there?
We meet every Sunday at 10:45 a.m.
